In recent years, more and more top universities are offering online MBAs. Many of the best programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of business (AACSB), Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). Amberton University – Garland, Texas
Amberton University offers an impressive array of online MBA programs. The online MBA from American University's Kogod School of Business is unique in that it has no work experience requirement and can be completed at the fast tracked pace of one year and 48 credit hours. This format makes them a great match for students who are interested in directly transitioning into a Masters degree after completion of their Bachelor's. Although this program carries the prestigious AACSB accreditation, they unfortunately do not offer a any advanced specializations.
Anaheim University – Anaheim, California
The Akio Morita School of Business at Anaheim University offers an online Green MBA which is defined as "an MBA in Global Sustainable Management focused on leadership, social responsibility and sustainable practices." This unique MBA helps to formalize a perspective and education in the minds of business students that focuses on the business costs, both socially and environmentally, and intertwines them with management decisions, instead of just focusing on the profits. The program consists of 12 course-credits including six core courses, four specialized courses in Sustainable Management (Sustainable Enterprise Development and Leadership; Triple Bottom Line Accountability and Management; Green Marketing and Environmental Product Design/Recycling; Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethics), and two elective courses in International Business and Entrepreneurship. Anderson University – Anderson,South Carolina
Anderson University's College of Business builds its general MBA program around a Christian framework. Intended for students who have an undergraduate degree in any field, not just business, the program can be completed with 36 credit hours and less than 20 months.
Courses are structured around a six-week class format, and students typically take just one course at a time. Coursework includes classes on human resources, finance, accounting, economics, management, and marketing using seminars, case studies, and simulations. The program also has options for students to specialize in human resources, healthcare leadership, supply chain management, or marketing.
Anderson University, located in Anderson, South Carolina, holds accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, as well as ACBSP.
Anderson University – Anderson, Indiana

Andrews University's online MBA is one that focuses on creating a well rounded graduate. Their IACBE and Higher Learning Commission accredited program seeks to, "Prepare students for leadership roles which require clear and critical thinking, wise judgment, effective communication, integrity in all actions, and recognition of opportunities for service." The program integrates strong Christian ethics and can be accomplished in one year or 33 credit hours.
Angelo State University – San Angelo, Texas
As a part of the Texas Tech University system, it is no surprise that Angelo State University is not only ACBSP accredited, but also voted one of the Princeton Reviews Top 380 Colleges. Their online MBA can be completed on a part time basis of twenty-one months or a full time basis of one year and offers a strong emphasis on organizational decision making. There are no specializations offered at this time, but the program offers a very sound foundation of core curriculum to help prepare students for the business world.
Arizona State University – Tempe, Arizona
The W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University is AACSB accredited. And also part of a school that is ranked in the Top 5 by The Wall Street Journal for producing the most qualified graduates in the United States. This highly prestigious School of Business prides itself on creating a sense of community, even in the digital age. By implementing team based learning and small class sizes. Their program can be completed in 30 credit hours and courses can be taken on a part time or full time basis. This school has a lot to offer, but does require one in person visit upon admission.
Arkansas State University – Jonesboro, Arkansas
The 33 credit hour Online MBA program at Arkansas State University only offers one specialization. However, Supply Chain Management is a unique and dynamic concentration to obtain. The AACSB accredited program focuses on supply chain functions of business, as they relate to fi rms operating in a dynamic global business environment. They also offer business internships as an elective course which allows students to gain real world experience as it pertains to their degree.
Arkansas Tech University – Russellville, Arkansas
This 30-credit hour online MBA program prides itself on educating students to be leaders, life-long learners, to add value to their communities and employers, to improve decision making skills and to focus on the analyzation of data and information, not just focusing on the numbers, in order to assist a company in making the best managerial decisions. Aspen University – Denver, Colorado
The 36-credit hour online MBA program at Aspen University provides an avenue for a student to pursue their professional business aspirations while working full-time. The School of Business and Technology at Aspen University aspires to create an environment and an education where students can achieve the leadership skills needed in this rapidly changing business world both globally and technologically. The online MBA program is designed to enhance a student's already attained knowledge of business and assist their desire to strive toward professional gain. Along with a required Capstone project, students are encouraged to pursue a specialization program in one of these areas: Project Management, Finance, or Information Management. Auburn University – Auburn, Alabama
Online students of Raymond J Herbert College of Business can get the full college experience from the comfort of their home. Online students at Auburn University, "watch the exact same lectures, take the same tests, and communicate with the same professors as on-campus students.". Lectures are live streamed and can be watched at your convenience. The Online Specializations offered are Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Marketing. This AACSB accredited program is also a Prefered School Partner in Boeing's Learning Together Program, and has been complimented on the Princeton Review for its "superb online functionality."
Auburn University at Montgomery – Montgomery, Alabama
The MBA at Auburn University at Montgomery is a 10-course, online program that can be completed in as little as one year. But students may also choose to extend the program to over two years, depending on their personal and career demands.
All students take 24 credit hours of core courses, which are all three credits each. These courses include managerial applications of accounting information, financial valuation: models and applications, marketing management, business and administrative communication, data analysis for managers, managing people, information resource management, and strategic analysis for competitive advantage. In addition, students must complete two three-credit elective courses. In total, the program is 30 credits.
The College of Business is accredited by AACSB for their online MBA program. Auburn University at Montgomery holds accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges.
Augusta University – Augusta, Georgia
Augusta University redesigned their entire business school in 2016. They have now revealed a new "Hull Experience" which focuses on building business professionals by including professional development workshops and planned networking events within the curriculum. The program takes 30 credit hours and between twelve to twenty four months to complete. They do not offer specializations at this time but the course work is very well rounded and carries the prestigious AACSB accreditation.
Azusa Pacific University – Azusa, California
The online MBA at Azusa University offers specializations in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Marketing, and Organizational Science. The program is both IACBE and WASC accredited and can be completed in fifteen to thirty months. An interesting fact is that Azusa is a yellow ribbon school, and is placed among the top fifteen percent of schools helping military students reach their learning goals. They also secured a place in the most prestigious category of U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges 2016, ranking in at No.175 for the National University's category.

Babson College – Babson Park, Massachusetts
With a focus on entrepreneurship, Babson College's AACSB accredited Blended Online MBA offers concentrations in Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Global Management, and Marketing. The program can be completed in 21 credit hours and on a part time basis. A portion of this MBA is online, but the blended program can only be completed with a face to face component. According to the website the face to face cohort meets every seven weeks in either Wellesley, Maine or San Francisco, California. If you are interested in seeking a leadership minded degree Babson could be the place for you. Just make sure that you are near one of their face to face locations.
Baker College – Flint, Michigan
Baker College's MBA program is IACBE accredited as well as 100% online. All students participate in the core business curriculum, but Baker offers a more personalized degree by allowing students to choose from several electives and specializations within their online MBA. Specializations include Accounting, Business Intelligence, Finance, General Business, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, and Marketing.
Baker University – Baldwin City, Kansas
The School of Professional and Graduate Studies at Baker University seeks to "prepare you for the issues and challenges you will face in management positions." Baldwin Wallace University – Berea, Ohio
U.S. News & World Report ranks Baldwin Wallace University's hybrid MBA, "among the top programs in the nation on the basis of student engagement, selectivity, peer reputation and student services and technology." Students complete the majority of the program in an online format but there are seven weekend on campus sessions throughout the two year program. While the format is not 100% online, the in class sessions allow for a more close knit and personal experience. Baldwin Wallace offers several specializations for their in class MBA but the Hybrid track only includes management as an option.
Ball State University – Muncie, Indiana
At Ball State University School of Business the specializations include Entrepreneurship, Finance, Operations Management and Sales Management. Classes in this AACSB accredited online MBA program can be taken in several formats; which makes it very accommodating to the working student.
Bard College – Annandale-On-Hudson, New York
Bard College provides a 60-credit hour MBA program that teaches students the purpose of "building new organizations and transforming existing business for social good." With this in mind, Bard began the innovative MBA in Sustainability program in 2012 where they became "one of the select few graduate business education programs globally that fully integrates sustainability into a core business curriculum." This program strives to prepare students to lead in all levels of business management, while helping to solve important issues both social and environmental. If you are from Texas you have surely heard of Baylor University. If not, their online MBA is a great way to bring a piece of Texas to you wherever you are. The Baylor MBA Online is AACSB accredited and also highly ranked as the No. 69 online MBA programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The school's prestigious reputation also extends to a business alumni network of over 25,000. Their program is faith based and can be completed in as little as one year. They do not currently offer specializations but their comprehensive curriculum boast an impressive 96% after-graduation employment rate.
Belhaven University – Jackson, Mississippi
Belhaven University offers online MBAs with concentrations in Leadership, Human Resources, Health Administration and Sports Administration. Along with their IACBE accreditation they also provide students with a program that facilitates Christian ethics and discussion. Bellevue University – Bellevue, Nebraska
Bellevue University is ranked one of the Most Affordable Online MBAs by Online U. The program is IACBE accredited, extremely goal oriented, and puts a strong emphasis on critical thinking skills and their translation to the business world.
Benedictine University – Lisle, Illinois
Benedictine's online MBA program is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and can be completed in as little as a year in a half. They offer a traditional course by course program or an intensive "fast track" program where students complete two classes simultaneously during each semester. Their program provides many opportunities to network with professors and students working in a variety of industries; as well as concentrations in Entrepreneurship, Managing Innovation, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, International Business, Health Care Administration, and Internet Marketing.
Bentley University – Waltham, Massachusetts
Bentley University offers three MBA's but from our research the Professional MBA seems to be the only option that can be completed 100% online. The program is AACSB accredited and offers and impressive eight concentrations. The concentrations include-Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics of Financial Markets, Finance, Information Systems and Technology, Law and Taxation, Leadership, and Marketing. Bentley's curriculum provides a wide variety of courses to assure future student success; and you can also attain a dual degree of MS and MBA for only six more courses.
Bethel College – Mishawaka, Indiana
This 36-credit hour online MBA program is in every way designed for the working professional. The flexible format gives students the opportunity to begin the program at any time throughout the year and also to put their studies on hold for a time being if needed. The Division of Adult and Graduate Studies at Bethel College strives to provide a faith based, Christian-lead, challenging academic business education to prepare students for leadership roles in the Church and the business world by focusing on "managerial decision making, organizational strategy, and problem solving." Bethel University – McLemoresville, Tennessee
The accelerated SACS accredited MBA program that Bethel University can be completed in as little as nineteen months. They offer four specializations including-Academic Practitioner, Executive, Healthcare Administration, and Human Resource Management. While this program does include some group assignments, it is based on a unique fully written curriculum, with no tests and no grades for group work. Classes start each month and books and technology are included with tuition; making Bethel easily accessible for students who are eager to get started on reaching their education and career goals.
Bethel University – Saint Paul, Minnesota

The online MBA at Boise State University was recently ranked one of the "Top 20 Public Schools" in the West by U.S. News & World Report. Their AACSB accredited program is 100% online including digital content, which replaces the need to purchase books and additional materials. Classes are seven weeks long with and average completion time one one year. U.S. News & World Report also listed Boise State twice as one of the top up-and-coming schools in the nation. They currently do not offer specializations, however, their curriculum is quite diverse.
Brandeis University – Waltham, Massachusetts
Brandeis University has an extremely specialized program exclusively for physicians. This AACSB accredited Executive MBA "is focused on improving both clinical outcomes and financial results in healthcare organizations by training physician-leaders in the new science of medical management". The hybrid program can be completed in sixteen months, and while the majority of work is online they do require ten day residential sessions in May and January. Only twenty five to thirty students are accepted each cohort which makes admissions highly competitive.
Brandman University – Irvine, California
Brandman University's MBA program draws upon industry experience and the latest academic research to help students integrate ethics, corporate social responsibility and sustainability into decision making.They offer elective courses in the areas of Accounting, E-Business Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Health Administration, Human Resources, International Business, Marketing, and Organizational Leadership. The program can be completed between 24-36 credit hours and students can expect to have a strong understanding of business functions, ethics, leadership, and innovation upon completion of their degree.
Brenau University – Gainesville, Georgia

Caldwell University in Caldwell, New Jersey offers students a 33-credit, online, general MBA program. The entire program is 11 courses, though for those lacking required undergraduate coursework, an extra six credits may be required. It can be completed in less than 12 months. Course are all accelerated, seven-week courses. Short-term study abroad options are also available. Students also have the option of pursuing MBA concentrations in accounting, global business, human resource management, and marketing for an extra six credits. The online Fully Employed Master of Business Administration in General Management degree program at California Baptist University is built for working professionals. Their WASC and ACBSP accredited program is designed to help students gain knowledge and confidence personally, professionally, and spiritually. Plaster School of Business & Entrepreneurship at Lindenwood University offers an extensive 39-54 credit hour online MBA program. For their online program an emphasis in management is offered.
Students must complete up to 15 credit hours of foundation courses if they do not have the required prerequisites. Nine core business courses make up the next 27 credit hours. These courses include managerial accounting, financial policy, international business operations, management practices, business law and ethics, statistics and quantitative analysis, management information system, and marketing principles and issues. The ninth course is business policies and strategies, which is a capstone course taken at the end of the program. Students also complete four elective courses for an additional 12 credits.

Lindsey Wilson College – Columbia, Kentucky
Lindsey Wilson College offers both a 100 percent online MBA program as well as a hybrid format. The online program offers a general business emphasis, while the hybrid program offers a lean systems emphasis. Regardless of the mode of learning, pursuing an MBA at Lindsey Wilson's School of Business takes 18 months at a full-time course load. The program is 36 credit hours in total.
Most courses are eight weeks long. Twenty-one credits cover the core requirements. A part-time option is available with a spring or fall start and takes two years to complete. For a faster option, full-time summer starts are available, which takes 15 months to complete, and a full-time spring start can be completed in 18 months. Courses are set up in seven-week terms.
In addition, students are required to come to campus for an extended weekend to complete a summer residency in Farmville, Virginia. In this residency, all students complete the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Signature Program. This is part of the Leadership Education and Development Program through the College of Business & Economics. The program is run via the learning management system Canvas; the program is asynchronous to provide more flexibility for students. While not required, most students in Montclair's program have two to three years of full-time experience.
Students take 36-39 credits for this online program, which is offered through the Feliciano School of Business. Some of the 18 core classes, which are all 1.5 credits (except the 3-credit accounting for business majors) are macroeconomies analysis and public policy, achieving competitive advantage, negotiation in the workplace, and sustainability and corporate responsibility. Six more elective credits are also required to complete the program, of which are there several dozen 1.5 – 3 credit options to choose from. An on-campus orientation and a three-day wrap up at the end of the program are also required on their campus in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Students take two courses each semester (including summer) throughout the program. The 36 credits are earned through twelve required courses and one elective course. Classes are conducted synchronously, with students attending classes "face-to-face" via webcams each week. For those who would like actual in-person interaction, Rice offers Intensive Learning Experiences on Rice's Houston, Texas, campus and other locations worldwide. In these ILEs, students participate in activities like simulations, seminars, and study abroad opportunities. ILEs take place for one week at the end of each term. All students must complete at least three credits of ILEs.
