The winter/spring semester is in full swing and business schools are busy preparing for the fall. This month, new online MBA programs have been announced, as well as a new MBA ranking. These new programs are giving prospective students more choices and more flexibility as they pursue the next step in their career. The past month has brought three new online MBA degrees for students to choose from, programs from the Utica College, St. Bonaventure University, and St. Cloud State University.
Also available for the prospective MBA student is a new MBA ranking from CEOWORLD Magazine. There are hundreds of programs for prospective students to research in order to find the right fit. New Online MBA Programs
Utica College – Utica, New York
Utica College just unveiled on ABC a new "super smart classroom" for a new blended and online MBA program. Students can attend class in-person, in an online, synchronous, interactive session, or access the recorded lectures online. This MBA consists of 10 core courses, followed by four specialization courses. Students can choose from the following specializations: Finance/Accounting, Insurance & Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Cyber Policy, Health Care Management, and General.
Utica College is a four-year, private, nonprofit university that was founded in 1946 by Syracuse University. Utica offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs to over 4,000 students annually. The university is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
St. Bonaventure University – Saint Bonaventure, New York
St. Bonaventure University just announced that starting in the Fall of 2016 they will offer an online MBA program. Currently St. Bonaventure offers an AACSB-accredited part-time, full-time, and weekends only MBA at two different campuses. The university announced this new program in partnership with a private company, Keypath Education, that will help with the marketing and technology infrastructure.
St. Bonaventure University is a four-year, private, nonprofit, Catholic university that was founded in 1858 in the interest of promoting Catholic-Franciscan education. They offer over 50 undergraduate majors and programs, and 20 graduate programs to over 2,000 students every year. The university is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
St. Cloud State University – Saint Cloud, Minnesota
St. Cloud State University announced that they are adding an online MBA program to their graduate program line-up. St. Cloud currently offers a full-time, part-time, and evening/weekends AACSB-accredited MBA program. This new online program will be a part-time, cohort-style program that will offer the same rigorous content taught by the same faculty members as the on-campus equivalent.
St. Cloud State University is a four-year, public school that was founded in 1869 as a normal school. Today, they offer over 200 undergraduate majors and minors and over 60 graduate and doctoral programs to more than 15,400 students every year. The university is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
New MBA rankings
CEOWORLD Magazine
CEOWORLD Magazine, a business and technology magazine written for CEOs and executives, unveiled their 2016 MBA rankings. They surveyed over 300 business schools about the learning environment, class sizes, tuition fees, faculty, delivery methods, international diversity, gender make-up and more. They state that their objective is to identify schools which marry exceptional quality with great ROI. Their publication lists MBA programs from around the world and ranks them in a tier system, then adds an additional Global Online MBA ranking with actual rankings. Out of the 31 online MBAs ranked, 26 of them hail from the US. The highest ranked online MBA within this list is Queens University of Charlotte listed as number five.
